Product clarity
Terms
Last updated: July 6, 2026
This page explains how CheckLink works at a practical product level. It is provided for general product clarity and is not legal advice.
Risk Signals, Not Guarantees
CheckLink provides automated risk signals and manual review context. Results, reports, listings, and trust pages are not guarantees that a website is safe, unsafe, legal, or suitable for your use.
Manual Review
Launch Board listings, Official Links pages, manual reports, and business requests are reviewed before publication or delivery. Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance.
Payments
During the launch phase, paid services are handled manually after review. Payment does not guarantee approval, and paid or featured placement does not mean a listing is safer.
Trust Packs
Trust Packs are manual services based on available context. CheckLink may decline unsafe, misleading, unsuitable, or unclear requests before delivery or publication.
Widgets and Badges
CheckLink widgets and badges are provided for convenience and trust workflows. They must not be used to imply certification, a safety guarantee, endorsement, or a completed security audit. CheckLink may ask a site to remove misleading badge or widget usage.
Listing Standards
CheckLink may reject, edit, pause, or remove listings that appear unsafe, misleading, low-quality, spammy, harmful, illegal, or unsuitable for the Launch Board.
Your Decisions
You are responsible for your own security, legal, financial, and business decisions. CheckLink is not a replacement for antivirus tools, security teams, legal advice, or financial advice.
Local Browser Tools
Some Trust Lab tools run in your browser and may behave differently depending on browser support. QR extraction, pasted email inspection, header parsing, and quick reports are informational tools, not proof that a link is safe or unsafe.
Sensitive Links
For login, payment, account recovery, legal, medical, or financial links, verify the destination through an official channel before acting. Do not rely on one scanner result alone.
External Links
CheckLink may link to third-party websites. Those websites are controlled by their owners and may change after review. Their terms, privacy practices, and security are separate from CheckLink.
Abuse and Spam
Do not submit spam, abusive, automated, misleading, malicious, or false requests. Manual lead forms may use anti-spam checks such as honeypot fields, submission timing, payload limits, and URL-count limits.
Disputes and Contact
For listing disputes, correction requests, removals, refund questions, or security concerns, contact CheckLink through the contact page.
